Homeschool Program
Under Texas law, homeschooling is recognized as a form of private education, giving parents the freedom to direct their child’s education according to their values and goals. The state does not require homeschool educators to hold teaching degrees, allowing families flexibility in curriculum, pace, and learning methods.
Cornerstone Faith Academy operates within the Texas homeschool model, and our goal is to remain unaccredited so we can preserve the freedom that homeschooling provides. Accreditation would require us to follow many of the traditional policies and regulations placed on institutional schools—the very policies that often take away the freedom Christian parents have to guide their children’s education.
By remaining within the homeschool model, we protect something far more important than schedules or policies—we protect the freedom of families to raise and educate their children with Christ at the center.
By remaining within the homeschool model, we also maintain the flexibility to structure learning in a way that supports each student while keeping Christ at the center of our daily environment. This is the very foundation on which Cornerstone Faith Academy is built.
Students maintain academic records and documentation of their work and progress throughout the school year. Should a family choose to withdraw, Cornerstone Faith Academy will provide report cards and records of the student’s work and academic progress so families have clear documentation of their child’s education.
While we are committed to supporting families academically, our support as Christians will always remain centered on seeking what God desires for each student and family. Our goal is to walk alongside families with honesty, encouragement, and faith as students grow in both learning and character.
Grade Levels
Cornerstone Faith Academy serves students in 5–8th grade. 📚✨
These years are a critical time for developing independence, responsibility, strong study habits, and deeper academic skills. Our program is intentionally designed to support students during this important stage of growth.
At this time, we serve students through 8th grade. As our students prepare for high school, we will work closely with families to help them find a great next step that fits their goals and needs. As Cornerstone continues to grow, we may also expand our program to grow alongside our students.
While we value learners of all ages, our current program is best suited for students in grades 5–8. We believe students thrive when their learning environment is intentionally designed to meet their developmental and academic needs at each stage of life.

Homeschooling allows education to be personalized, flexible, and student-centered in ways traditional school settings often cannot. At Cornerstone Faith Academy, flexible scheduling is balanced with consistent structure, meaningful relationships with instructors, and focused academic time that helps students stay engaged and supported. Faith-based character development is woven naturally into daily learning, encouraging students to grow not only academically but also in confidence, responsibility, and integrity. Families are supported throughout the process rather than being left to manage everything on their own. Instruction can be adjusted as needed so that each student continues to grow steadily while developing independence and strong learning habits. As we begin our first year, we are intentionally keeping our groups small. This allows us to focus on each student, build strong relationships, and prayerfully follow the direction God has for Cornerstone Faith Academy as we grow.
Schedule
Cornerstone Faith Academy meets Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. There are no regular classes on Fridays, allowing for added flexibility in each family’s schedule. When Monday is observed as a holiday, school will meet on Friday to maintain instructional time. These dates are included on the school calendar. Our schedule is intentionally designed to provide focused academic time during the week while still leaving space for what matters most—family. This structure also allows students to participate in sports, extracurricular activities, church events, and other interests outside of school.
Instructional Model
& Learning Tools
Cornerstone Faith Academy is not an online program. Instruction is primarily in-person and teacher-led, using a combination of printed curriculum, physical textbooks, workbooks, writing, discussion, and direct instruction. At the same time, we believe that both traditional materials and modern tools can be valuable for learning. Depending on the subject, elective, and the progress of the student, instruction may include a combination of textbook-based learning and carefully selected online resources. Technology is used intentionally and purposefully, often for areas such as typing instruction, research, skill-based practice, and certain electives. When used appropriately, it can be a helpful tool that supports learning rather than replacing meaningful instruction. Our goal is to create a balanced learning environment where students benefit from both hands-on academic work and modern learning tools while remaining engaged with their teachers and classmates.
Attendance & Flexibility
Cornerstone Faith Academy operates differently from traditional school models. Because we follow a homeschool structure with small-group and individualized instruction, occasional absences do not place students behind in the same way they might in a large classroom setting. If a student is absent, instructional plans and assignments can be adjusted as needed. Families will have access to materials at home so learning can continue in a manageable way. We work alongside families to help ensure students remain on track without unnecessary pressure. That said, consistency is important for steady progress, and regular attendance is encouraged whenever possible. If your child is sick, please keep them home. We prioritize the health and well-being of all students and families. Because of our flexible learning model, adjustments can be made when needed. Communication is key, and we will always work together to support your child’s learning and continued success.
Morning Menu
Every morning at Cornerstone begins with purpose. From the moment students walk in, everything is ready—computers on, plans in place, and expectations clear. Students begin by going to their drawer, gathering their materials, and writing down the day’s “to do” from the Smart Board in their student planner. This simple routine creates clarity and ownership—students always know exactly where to start and what is expected. The student planner is a key part of this process and is used daily to build organization and responsibility. It is sent home each Thursday for a parent signature, keeping families connected and involved in their child’s progress. The morning block is not designed for heavy academic work, but for preparation. As Christian music plays, students organize, settle in, and prepare their minds for the day ahead. At 9:20 AM, the class transitions into announcements and Christian news, setting a focused and meaningful tone for the day.
Learning Check Points
Throughout the school year, students will participate in scheduled Learning Checkpoints (see the School Year Calendar). These checkpoints help us monitor progress and ensure students are moving forward with confidence in their studies. Learning Checkpoints give us the opportunity to evaluate each student’s understanding and determine whether it is best to advance, slow down for reinforcement, or continue at a steady pace. Our goal is to ensure students are consistently working toward and meeting their learning targets. Report cards will be distributed following each Learning Checkpoint. If we feel a parent meeting would be beneficial before this time, we will reach out to schedule an appointment as soon as possible so we can support your child’s continued growth. Every parent will also be added to our grading and communication system, giving families access to their child’s grades, assignments, and the school calendar throughout the year. This tool allows parents to stay informed and track progress at any time.
Weekly Learning Structure
Cornerstone operates on a simple and purposeful rotation system throughout the week, allowing students to focus deeply on each subject without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. Each day is intentionally designed: Day A — Math Focus Students receive direct instruction and 1:1 support in math, with time to practice and build understanding. Day B — ELA Focus Students focus on reading, writing, and language skills through guided instruction and individualized support. Day C — Community & Library Day Students step outside the traditional routine to engage in community time, reading, and real-world learning experiences. Day D — Review & Assessment This day is used for reinforcement, review, and testing when needed, ensuring students fully understand the material before moving forward. Weekly progress is communicated through each student’s planner, which is sent home for a parent signature. This keeps families informed, involved, and connected to their child’s growth.
December Schedule
Cornerstone Faith Academy observes a three-week Christmas break in December. This extended break recognizes that students often experience significant fatigue during the holiday season and provides families with meaningful time to rest, celebrate, and spend time together. To support healthy learning rhythms while still maintaining academic continuity, December 14–17 will be designated as Remote Learning Week. During this time, students will be sent home with a guided project aligned with their current coursework. This project is included in tuition and is designed to be meaningful yet manageable, allowing students to apply what they have learned while still maintaining balance during a naturally busy season.
Intentional Group Time
At Cornerstone, group time is an essential part of the day. While students receive individualized instruction, they also come together consistently to build connection, community, and shared experiences. Each day begins together with our Morning Menu, creating a unified start and setting the tone for the day ahead. After 1:1 rotations, students gather again for lunch and Bible time. This is a meaningful part of our daily rhythm, as students sit together at one table, slow down, and grow both spiritually and relationally. Bible time is intentionally placed after lunch, allowing students to reset, reflect, and refocus before continuing the day. Following this time, students move into group-based activities such as electives, STEM, and study hall, where collaboration, creativity, and shared learning continue. We don’t just learn individually—we grow together.
Field Trips
At Cornerstone Faith Academy, we are committed to providing our students with meaningful learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom. Throughout the year, students will participate in a variety of thoughtfully planned field trips that connect learning to real-world experiences. While our regular school schedule runs Monday through Thursday, the last Friday of each month will be designated as our field trip day. These field trips are included in monthly tuition, allowing every student the opportunity to participate. All field trips have been added to the Parent Portal for easy reference throughout the year. While every effort is made to follow the planned schedule, field trips may occasionally be adjusted due to weather, ticket availability, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Enrollment & Curriculum Fee
A one-time, non-refundable $480 Enrollment & Curriculum Fee is required to complete enrollment at Cornerstone Faith Academy. This fee includes student registration, enrollment setup, parent and student portal access, an official Cornerstone Faith Academy spirit shirt, and a student planner. It also covers your child's complete curriculum, academic supplies, classroom materials, shared classroom resources, project materials, and the everyday essentials needed throughout the school year, including materials for the December Remote Project Week. Curriculum is ordered well in advance and often sells out during the summer. Timely payment ensures your child's materials are secured and ready before the school year begins. At Cornerstone Faith Academy, we believe families should be able to plan with confidence. This one-time fee allows us to provide a fully prepared learning environment from day one—without repeated supply lists, surprise classroom requests, or unexpected academic costs throughout the year. If additional classroom needs arise beyond what is covered, Cornerstone Faith Academy will absorb those costs so families are not burdened with added expenses later in the year.
Monthly tuition is $450 per student and is billed through a recurring monthly payment plan. This special Founding Family Lifetime Rate is available to the first 10 enrolled students and will remain $450 per month for as long as the student remains continuously enrolled at Cornerstone Faith Academy. Once all 10 Founding Family spots have been filled, tuition will increase for future enrollments. Tuition covers your child's full instructional program for the academic year, running August 17 through May 13. Cornerstone operates Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with no regular classes on Fridays. Holidays, remote weeks—including the scheduled remote learning week in December—and planned breaks are built into the academic calendar, allowing tuition to remain simple, consistent, and predictable for families throughout the year. Tuition includes teacher-led instruction, individualized learning, one-on-one and small-group support, and structured academic instruction in Math, Science, History, Reading, Writing, and Grammar, along with elective learning opportunities built into the weekly schedule. Tuition also includes one educational field trip each month as part of the Cornerstone learning experience. These outings are intentionally planned to extend learning beyond the classroom through meaningful, hands-on experiences and are included so every student can participate. On Wednesdays, during Community Day, lunch is provided by Cornerstone. On all other school days, students should bring a packed lunch from home. Tuition also covers classroom supplies, curriculum materials, and cleaning supplies for the school year. Families will not be asked to purchase or donate additional classroom or cleaning supplies. While admission for scheduled field trips is covered, personal expenses are not included. Optional purchases such as lunch, souvenirs, rides, or other personal expenses remain the responsibility of each family.
Tuition Summary
Enrollment & Curriculum Late Fee
Beginning August 1, the enrollment and registration fee for Cornerstone Faith Academy will increase to **$580**. Families who complete their enrollment and registration before August 1 will receive the current enrollment rate. We look forward to welcoming new students as we prepare for an exciting school year!
Transportation
For families who live outside of our immediate area, transportation is available as an optional service. Students are transported to and from our school location each day, making it easier for families who may need additional support with daily travel. Pick-Up Location: Sterling Wood Church Morning Drop-Off: 8:30 AM Afternoon Pick-Up: 3:30 PM Transportation is $30 per student per week and is billed in advance so we can properly plan routes and confirm which students will be using the service each week. Payment is due each Thursday for the upcoming week. Transportation is provided through a trusted third-party service, and all drivers and staff involved will undergo thorough background checks to ensure the safety and well-being of our students. Families who wish to use transportation should arrange this in advance, as planning and scheduling are necessary to maintain a safe and organized system.

Our approach allows for immediate feedback and the opportunity to work closely with each student until they truly understand the material—rather than simply moving on. Students follow their own curriculum at their individual level, while still learning within a structured and focused environment. We encourage students to stay engaged, participate respectfully, and contribute to a classroom culture that supports everyone. Our schedule is intentional and consistent, designed to help students build strong habits and confidence in their learning. Success in this setting is not based on perfection, but on a student’s willingness to participate, follow expectations, and grow. We also believe that strong communication and the right fit matter. For that reason, we may schedule a conversation prior to enrollment to ensure Cornerstone Faith Academy is a good fit for both the student and the family.
